Recognizing the importance of arts and cultural organizations to education and economic vitality and their power to inspire and transform community identity, the Cultural Alliance of San Antonio unites to support cultural education, promote informed funding policy planning and implementation, facilitate collaboration, and advocate for artists and cultural organizations.

Methods, Activities, Objectives
- Provide regular forums for discourse among leaders of local cultural institutions, large and small
- Organize public awareness-raising colloquiums regarding cultural arts issues (e.g., hotel/motel tax fund use, cultural tourism practices, public art, arts in education)
- Serve as a vigilant advocate for support of arts and cultural organizations
- Actively encourage increased community participation in the arts and cultural offerings of the city
- Increase knowledge about local and regional public and private funding sources regarding funding policy planning and implementation
- Encourage communication between arts and cultural organizations and other groups in an effort to broaden the understanding and appreciation of arts and culture in our communities.
